Management Overview

Chatham University’s management degree develops practical skills in business strategy, entrepreneurship, quantitative analysis, and information systems. Through a liberal arts approach to business education, students also consider how sustainability, diversity, responsible decision-making, and global perspectives shape organizations.

The Bachelor of Arts in Management combines business fundamentals with professional development in areas such as project management, Six Sigma, and coding. Small classes and guidance from experienced faculty help students strengthen their ability to analyze problems, work across teams, and contribute to organizations in a wide range of industries.

I like management because I have a lot of different interests, and management is applicable to almost everything. I like studying business at Chatham because smaller class sizes provide students the opportunity to learn how to work with others and become a better leader.

Capstone Seminar

Every management student completes a capstone seminar that brings together knowledge developed throughout the major. Students apply business strategy, analysis, and decision-making skills to a project connected to a management topic or professional interest. Faculty mentors guide students as they define the project, evaluate information, and communicate their conclusions. The experience strengthens critical thinking and prepares students to present their work in professional or graduate-level settings.
