Faculty & Staff November and December Update
By Lisa Lambert / 19 December 2025

Hi everyone,

Now that I’ve almost completed my first six months in my new role, I want to thank all of you for the support and patience you’ve given me. I’m so grateful for the suggestions and help you have given. I truly believe we have turned the corner, and each and every one of you have contributed to our success story.

I hope you were able to attend the holiday party on December 16. Mellon Hall looks beautiful, and it was wonderful to be able to celebrate the end of the semester with so many of you. Also, if you haven’t seen it, here's a link to the Cornerstone newsletter that recently went out to our alumni with news and features: https://indd.adobe.com/view/ac7bbc36-07e5-4aa3-810c-19054f27d3b2.

Real Estate Updates

On the Eastside sale and leaseback, we are still actively engaged with several buyers and are in daily contact with our real estate agents. I am cautiously optimistic we’ll be able to move into negotiations with a finalist in January. Talks with officials and donors on the Armory will take a pause over the holidays, but that project is moving forward as well. As I mentioned at the November update, we also have several houses on the market, and we’re seeing movement there, as well. All in all, movement in this area is positive.

Middle States - This is Our Accreditation Year!

The final draft of the Middle States report is being formatted and prepared for final submission to Middle States. The completed version will be shared with the community, and forums will be scheduled to review the material before the full Accreditation Team visit on March 8-11, 2026. As soon as we know what the schedule for the visit will look like, we will share it with everyone.

Campus Community and Environment

New members (full-time) of the Chatham Community since last month:
  • Stephanie Latusick, Director of Student Accounts
  • Elias Khouri, Police Office
  • Eliza Eames, Assistant Director of Housing Operations and Residence Life

Workday Platform and Budgets

Budget access through Workday has gone live! The Business Office emailed all staff and faculty with information and a user’s guide on Tuesday, December 16. Thank you again to all members of the Workday Platform team to their hard work that got us to this point.

Athletics

Congratulations to the Women’s Volleyball Team who made it to the conference playoffs in November before losing a hard-fought game to Westminster in November. Our winter sports, including men and women’s basketball, ice hockey, and squash will continue in January.

Events and News

As IT recently shared, we will be transitioning to a new platform called Localist in the new year (https://events.chatham.edu/).  However, copies of this, as well as past newsletters, will still be available on the new “From the President” page on chatham.edu(so you don’t have to search through your emails!) The next newsletter will be in late January.

Please remember to read and submit your accomplishments and ideas for stories to the Pulse- we all want to hear about the great things you are doing!

Here’s the link to submit your news: https://www.pulse.chatham.edu/contact. If you want to cc my office, our email is presidentsoffice@chatham.edu.
Thank you, and have a wonderful holiday season with your friends and loved ones.
