Chatham is a proud participant in the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program). The program provides matching funds from the Department of Veterans Affairs as a supplement to the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. Chatham also participates in the DoD Tuition TA program for active Service members, which provides financial assistance for voluntary off-duty education programs in support of a soldier's professional and personal self-development goals.

In partnership with the Three Rivers Battalion, Chatham University is proud to offer students the option to participate in the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corp (ROTC) program that prepares college students to become U.S. Army Officers. Army ROTC is an elective, so you can participate your Freshman and Sophomore years without any obligation to join the U.S. Army. This program will give you the tools, training, and experiences needed to help succeed in any competitive environment. In addition to great leadership training, Army ROTC can pay for your college tuition.

In partnership with the University of Pittsburgh and 14 other colleges in the Pittsburgh region, Chatham students are eligible to participate in the 'Steel Eagles' of AFROTC Detachment (Det) 730. The Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (AFROTC) is an officer accessions program designed to educate and develop leaders and commission officers of character for service in the US Air Force and the US Space Force. In addition to weekly leadership training, participants are eligible for 2- and 4-year scholarships.
