Other Activities and Programs

  • Global Mixers and Parties: Global Mixers are often on the second or third Thursday of the Fall and Spring semester. Students showcase their cultures, meet new friends, and play conversation games. End-of-Term Celebrations are often on the last Thursday of the semester. Students, faculty, and staff celebrate their achievements, remember the best parts of the semester, and say goodbye to those completing their program at Chatham.
  • Cultural Celebrations: We celebrate holidays and cultural events from the U.S. and other countries and cultures. These may include Halloween, Thanksgiving, U.S. Independence Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year, and more.
  • Neighborhood Tours and Field Trips: Every semester, we may take students on tours and field trips to explore Pittsburgh neighborhoods and experience local and diverse cultures.
  • International Education Week (IEW) Celebrations: International Education Week occurs one week before the Thanksgiving week in November. During this week, students showcase their academic achievements, professional and personal reflections, and talents in the International Education Symposium as well as join various international events on campus.
  • Cultural Exchange Club: Students join the club to propose and organize activities to celebrate and exchange cultures and friendships.
  • Activities from Modern Languages and Other Offices: Apart from activities organized by the Office of International Affairs, there are many other international and multicultural activities that you can attend. These include (but are not limited to): International Karaoke Night, Dessert Night, Salsa Night, and more. Current students can find these activities in the Chatham App and the MyChatham page.
