Preparing teachers to support students marginalized by race, poverty, language or ethnicity in the K-12 classroom; examining pre-K-12 education within a framework of global sustainability.

Playing music, especially Old Time Appalachian music.

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Cunningham is an Assistant Professor of Education. Before earning her Ph.D. in Instruction and Learning, Dr. Cunningham was a K-12 public school teacher in Washington D.C. and downtown Pittsburgh for 13 years. She has also worked in education internationally in Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Malawi.
