BIOGRAPHY

My research and teaching focus on the ways political, economic, and sociocultural systems effect the way people interact with the natural and built environment. I also try to better understand the ways these systems and the interactions that they mediate create environmental risk and injustice. Finally, I examine ways that experimental, prefigurative, and polycentric forms of governance might empower people and communities to create positive environmental change.
