Travel & Transportation
By Car
If turning off Bakerstown Road, drive north on Ridge Road until you pass Kim Lane. After Kim Lane, you will pass the entrance to the old side of campus with the Chatham sign on the left, then a barn and one more driveway on your right and left (by the flagpole). Please pull into the third left on Ridge Road - the large parking lot near the blue water tower. Park here and walk across Ridge Road to check-in and move-in to Orchard Hall. All bags must be carried across the street from the parking lot to Orchard Hall–there is no building-side drop-off area. Please pack accordingly.
By Train, Bus, or Plane
Please allow at least 1 hour of travel time to and from the airport, train station or bus terminal when booking your trip. Forward your itinerary with arrival and departure times to khenderson@chatham.edu no later than three weeks before session start. A Chatham staff member, wearing a purple shirt and holding a sign with the participant’s name on it, will be at the airport (by baggage claim), Greyhound bus station (by unloading area), Megabus stop, or train station (in station lobby) to pick up the participant upon arrival. At the end of the program, Chatham staff will drive the participant to the airport, bus station or train station as needed and will see the student up to airport security or onto their bus/train.

If arriving early with time to spare, main campus tours can be arranged. For directions to the Shadyside campus and to register a main campus visit with Admissions visit this page.
Spending Money
All meals and snacks are provided by Chatham, with the potential exception of 1 or 2 meals out and about in Pittsburgh neighborhood central business districts (area TBD). Participants are asked to bring personal spending money for these meals, plus additional spending money if desired to purchase snacks or souvenirs during city excursions. Please do not bring large amounts of money. Participants are expected to keep track of their own cash at their own risk. Spending money for the meals in the city is provided for scholarship recipients.
