Scholarships

Partial and full scholarships available for students with financial need and BIPOC, with the highest amount of funding available for students in both of these categories. To apply for a scholarship, please email khenderson@chatham.edu by December 19th, 2022 (early bird deadline) or June 11, 2023 (final deadline) with the subject title "SLA 2023 Scholarship Application". Please specify in your email or scholarship materials which session of the SLA (June Global or July Local, or both) you are hoping to join, and attach the following documents:

First two pages of most recent Federal Tax Return
Essay explaining student's interest in attending the SLA event and why student should be considered for the scholarship (2 pages max)
Letter of recommendation from high school guidance counselor (optional but suggested)

Please note that the early bird scholarship deadline is only available for students enrolled in public or public charter schools in the state of PA. We encourage early bird scholarship applications, as these scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis, until funding runs out. The earlier you apply, the more likely you are to receive scholarship funding.
