Health & Safety Protocols
Health & Safety Protocols
To protect the health of each other, the following safety protocols are in effect:
- Get vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19
- Stay home if feeling sick, no matter how mild (or whatever) the symptoms
- Get tested if feeling sick or have been in contact with a positive COVID case
- Practice good hygiene by washing or sanitizing hands
- Masks are optional on campus; however, please wear a mask if:
- Feeling ill
- While awaiting COVID-19 test results
- For the recommended durations if positive for COVID-19 or identified as a close contact
These protocols and requirements may be subject to change based on updated health guidelines and the status of campus operations.
Free Masks
Free KN95 masks are available at Student Affairs in Woodland Hall for anyone who needs or would like one. Please remember that anyone may choose to wear a mask wherever and whenever they wish, and we continue to ask everyone to treat each other with kindness and respect.
CDC COVID-19 Community Levels
While we are not requiring or mandating masks on campus, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) does provide Individual-Level Prevention Steps people can take based on their COVID-19 Community Levels (Low, Medium and High). Chatham believes it is important for community members to make individual decisions around masking based on this guidance and other personal health, vaccination, and other considerations. You can read more about the steps and individual recommendations for the Low, Medium and High designations on the CDC COVID-19 Community Levels webpage.
